Dear hurting person:
 
This is a letter of desperation to the desperate person.  If you are thinking about taking your life, there are some things I would like to share with you.  Not in a judging way.  What I have to say to you is said because of love and because I have been there.  Here are a few things I would like to point out . . .
 
1. GOD loves you.  

Maybe that is invisible to you right now.  It might even make you mad because if HE loves you, why did HE put you in this mess?  The answer is, HE didn't.  Proverbs 19:3 says our foolishness ruins our situation in life and causes us to be mad at GOD.
 
2.  GOD would NEVER tell you to kill yourself.  

HE is life and not death.  The LORD is the LORD of the Living, not the dead.  No one praises HIM from the grave.  Every day you are alive you can talk to the LORD and give HIM the opportunity to fulfill your hearts desires.
 
3.  There is NO situation that is so bad and complicated that GOD cannot fix
     and restore you.  

And HE can do it quickly.  Please don't think I am making light of what you are going through.  I'm not!  I just know from personal experience that HE is amazing at restoring us!  And HE will if you let HIM, for you have free will and HE allows you to make your own choices.  That gift from GOD is to be your greatest blessing, you choose, and with the power to choose, you are free to choose to live, and face the next day and the next as you wait upon the LORD.  HE is on the way, even now as you read these words!
 
4.  Things will not be better if you were gone.  

No matter what you have done, or what has been done to you, someone's life will be brought down by your absence.  Everybody has somebody in their life that love's them even if you don't know this to be true.  No one is truly alone!  Every person that is left behind by an individual taking his own life will suffer all the days of their life!  They will never be the same, never forget and never have another truly good day in their life.  
 
5.  And on the other hand, you cannot pay someone back by taking your life!

 And remember, you will not be around to see.  If you have been hurt and damaged by another person, remember, the answer is for the LORD to bring HIS judgment upon them, not you.  The LORD is aware of all abusers.

Let the LORD balance the books of justice for you, HE knows how to do so!
 
6.  If you have "walked 1,000 miles down the wrong path" it is only one step
     back.  

The Bible says, in James 4:8 "Come near to GOD and HE will come near to you."  And when HE comes near, HE helps and heals and delivers!  The LORD is Love, and HE loves you completely, HE will show you the Path of Beauty to the FATHER.

7.  No matter how bad things are for you right now, your particular situation is
    not unique to you alone.

1 Corinthians says; "No temptation has seized [come to] you except  that is  which common to man [has attacked MANY people throughout the ages].  GOD is faithful, HE will provide a way out that you may escape."  More than one of the individuals who participated in putting this Article together had come very close to committing suicide in their past.  The fact that the LORD stopped them from completing their plans shows just how faithful HE is when we turn to HIM with open hearts, calling out to HIM for help!  JESUS will do the same for you; "For all who call upon the LORD will be saved."  Romans 10:13  You are not alone!

8.  No one but those who have done it know the eternal state of one who takes his own life.  

If there is a chance that it could wind you up in an everlasting place of torment, it is worth taking a little time to consider all the alternatives!  When JESUS walked the earth HE taught the people all about HIS FATHER'S home in Heaven.  It is important to note that JESUS taught more about hell then about Heaven!  That speaks to the fact that hell is a horrible place and no one wants to go there!  No one, that includes you!  On the basis of what might be the case, you do not want to take the chance, especially when your answers are so close to being fulfilled in you! Look Up!  Your help comes from the LORD, the Maker of Heaven and earth.

As hard as it may seem right now to understand, the Word of GOD says that you are loved with an everlasting love.  That love is a commitment.   Let us try to help.
