When the Godly people of this world feel too secure, they lose their edge. JESUS said, ". . . But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men." Salt is zest and savor. It is a preservative. It blends with almost anything. It is used to clean. It is active. We Followers of JESUS are like salt. But we can become so staid in our ways that we begin to lose all the great savory and preserving qualities of salt. Many of us are not very salty at all anymore . . . . Part of this malady comes from being overconfident in ourselves. This is a form of rebellion. Since we think we need GOD less, we rely on our own decision-making process without the influence of the HOLY SPIRIT. We need to pray that we remain and increase in our saltiness! It is vital to our fulfilling our work here on earth with passion. There it is . . . the perfect describer for the word salt - Passion! Pray for passion in our walk on the JESUS Path!
