Ezekiel 3:27b

. . . ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says!’ Those who choose to listen will listen, but those who refuse will refuse, for they are rebels."

Psalm 32

3 When I refused to confess my sin,
      my body wasted away,
and I groaned all day long.

There is a physical price to pay to be rebellious.  This is not to say that all sickness is caused by sin.  That is absurd and I hope you do not buy in to that.  On the other hand, had sin never entered this world through the rebellion of Adam, there would be no sickness here.

But on a day to day basis, our rebellious streak, when allowed to have its way, causes stress.  Stress causes pain, and pain and stress can lead to disease over the long run.

Our wonderful LORD has a better plan.  HE wants us to be open and honest with HIM.  If you have been following along the last few days, you know that David, the writer of this Psalm, was hiding from the LORD.

He refused to confess his sin to HIM and paid a physical price.  It is a scientific fact that stress leads to greater and more serious physical problems in our lives.  It is not HIS plan for us to live in continual stress all our lives.

Take time today and have a little talk with JESUS!  Confess any sin that you have been "hiding" from HIM.  You won't ever shock HIMHE continually sees it all.  Realize that HIS major purpose in coming to earth was to accept the consequences for the specific sin you are confessing (as well as all others . . .)

And remember, when it comes to forgiving . . . .Click here
